The cabin was wonderful! I loved the fact that I could wake up and see the mountains without ever leaving the bed! I love to drink my morning coffee and see the sunrise-it was beautiful. The kids loved the game room and wee enjoyed playing together as a family! We will definetely be coming back again soon!

The cabin was perfect. We were on our honeymoon and after planning a wedding this was a welcome escape. The cabin had all the luxuries of home. The neighbors were friendly and even invited us over to watch some college football and to accompany them on their nightly walks. The stream below the cabin is a nice place to relax as I literally caught a fish on my first cast. At night, shooting some pool, throwing darts and relaxing in the hot tub rounded out our days. The cabin is definitely close to area attractions (i.e. Biltmore/Asheville/Blue Ridge Parkway).

We all loved the cabin very much and enjoyed a nightly game of darts. It was very impressive just how much the cabin was stocked. We saw deer several times, and one night we even saw a family of raccoons down over the hill. Your cabin was a nice relaxing getaway for everyone. Thank you and we hope to be back next year.

Alina and Marty, We had such a great time at your cabin. The ammenities were great, the hot tub and game room were really nice, especially in the evenings when we were ready to wind down from the day What a beautiful place you have, thanks for sharing it with us.

Dear Alina and Marty, Many thanks for your note and especially for permitting us to use your beautiful "retreat". Libbie and I both enjoyed our stay and the cabin was just what the doctor ordered. A wonderful retreat and a place to take time to appreciate all of the many blessings that we have. Again, thanks for sharing your cabin and know that the both of us really enjoyed our stay.

Hello Alina and Marty! Thank you sooooo much for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your home, we had such a wonderful time! The house is beautiful as well as the sights! One of my favorite things is the swing on the front porch! We hope to be able to stay there again, and maybe share our experience with 1 or 2 more couples. They were all so envious when they saw our photos. Karen was a doll, very nice and helpful… The house was wonderful, you were wonderful for accommodating to us, the decorations were adorable, and the view was just amazing. Thank you so much again for the opportunity. We are extremely grateful. Happy New Year, and we hope to visit again! Sincerely, Haleigh

Alina and Marty- We had an awesome time at your "mountain hideaway". It was wonderful to wake up every day and look out at the beautiful mountain scenery. The leaves around the cabin had already changed, but when we ventured out towards Erwin or Weaverville, we still saw yellows, reds, and oranges on many of the trees. We played family board games, read, and took walks down the mountain. One special surprise was discovering that a relative through marriage lives on Model A Lane which is right before you turn off onto Big Laurel. We even had the opportunity to stop in and visit...talk about a small world!! We loved the Christmas decorations....it got us in the Christmas mood early. Thanks again for sharing your mountain home. Since I was in Yancey County on a job, my perspective is a bit different from your other guests. Spending 3 weeks in your cabin sure spoiled for hotels & motels. It was such a rare opportunity to get to hide on your mountain after a long day of work. The conveniences that you provide for your guests, the natural beauty of the cabin and the sweet smell of cedar made me anxious to get back "home" every day. Everyone talks about the view, nature, etc...my greatest joy was sitting in that great swing on the front deck and reading after enjoying a home-cooked meal (prepared by me, of course) after a tedious day in the field. Thank you for everything. I will recommend your cabin heartily and look forward to the opportunity to stay there again.

Your cabin is truly lovely. All of the personal touches make it so homey! We recently sold our cabin in Murphy NC (that we had for 15 years) and staying at your wonderful vacation home has brought back all of the great memories! Thank you so much for sharing your getaway.

What a great cabin. Mary and I had a wonderful time. The views from the deck and the loft was outstanding. It was truly a great place to relax, we also enjoyed our walks to the river and the surrounding area. Did some driving around and found lots of neat places to see and things to do. The brochures in the cabin were very helpful. Thanks for letting us enjoy your cabin.

We had a wonderful time at the cabin, the views were incredible. The cabin was very cozy, we spent a lot of time on the deck enjoying nature. The cabin was completely equipped all we had to do was buy our groceries. The town was just a few minutes away which made it easy for us to shop and see the town of Burnsville. We plan on returning next year. This place was a great getaway for us city folks. Thanks.
